Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
dhunlo ("we", "us", "the app") connects patients with doctors and clinics for appointment booking and queue management. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the dhunlo mobile app or website, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and role (patient, doctor, or clinic) when you register.
- Profile information: for doctors and clinics — speciality, qualification, clinic address, chamber timings, and consultation details. For patients — age, gender, and address if you provide them.
- Appointment and queue data: bookings you make, your position in a queue, and related timestamps.
- Device and notification data: a push-notification token so we can alert you (for example, when it is your turn in a queue).
- Payment information: subscription payments by doctors and clinics are processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store card numbers or bank credentials on our servers; the payment provider handles them securely.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and profile.
- To enable appointment booking, doctor search, and real-time queue updates.
- To send you relevant notifications (appointment and queue alerts).
- To process and record subscription payments for doctors and clinics.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the service.
How your information is shared
- Between the parties to an appointment — a patient's name is visible to the doctor and clinic involved in that booking, and doctor/clinic public profiles are visible to patients searching for care.
- With service providers who help us operate: Google Firebase (authentication, database, notifications), Supabase (backend services), and Razorpay (payments). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with access controls. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data (see Contact below).
Your rights
- Access, correct, or update your profile information from within the app.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Opt out of non-essential notifications from your device settings.
Children
dhunlo is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent from a parent or guardian managing care on their behalf.
Medical disclaimer
dhunlo is a platform to find and book healthcare providers. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
